Graduation Participation

THE PAULDING COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION SETS NEW POLICY FOR PARTICIPATION IN GRADUATION CEREMONIES
Only those students who have met graduation requirements for a diploma as established by Board Policy IHF-HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS, shall be allowed to participate in graduation ceremonies. Students will be required to perform with a passing score on the appropriate state graduation assessments (currently students must pass all sections of the Georgia High School Graduation Test), and attain at least twenty-two (22) units of credit before participating in the high school graduation ceremonies. Special needs students will continue to follow their Individualized Education Program (IEP) to determine graduation status.
The policy which governs graduation requirements is IHF(5) and can be found on the Internet under Board Policies. For further information on specific units of study, please contact your high school principal, school counselor, or visit our web site: www.paulding.k12.ga.us.
